Level Up Like a Pro: Discover the Ultimate EXP & Ability Point Farm in Final Fantasy 16
In this guide, we’ll show you how to earn over 30,000 AP an hour, making it the best farming method in Final Fantasy 16. However, there are a few important things to note before we begin.
Take note of the area: The location we’ll be farming is crucial, as it offers the highest AP rewards. Missing this area will result in significantly lower farming efficiency. Alternatively, you can use the Arete Stone to replay stages you’ve already completed, but keep in mind that it reduces EXP and AP gains by 4 to 6 times.
Minor spoilers ahead: While explaining the strategy, we’ll briefly discuss our Eikon and ability list, as well as the equipment we’ll be using. Don’t worry, we’ll keep the spoilers to a minimum.
Farming Setup: To maximize your farming efficiency, follow these steps:
Accessories: Equip the “On Fortune” and the “Heavens” accessories, which increase your earned EXP by 15%. These can be purchased from Charon in the hideaway. If you have the digital deluxe version or the collector’s edition, make sure you use the Cait Sith Charm for an additional EXP boost.
Ability Points: For increased ability points, use the Wages of Warcraft accessory, also available from Charon in the hideaway. To make the farming process easier, equip the Ring of Timely Strikes. If you have the Cait Sith Charm, you can use it in this slot to gain even more EXP.
Eikons and Abilities: Use Ramuh, Titan, and Phoenix Eikons. Phoenix’s Flames of Rebirth and Ignition skills are incredibly powerful, while Ramuh’s Judgment Bolts skill has excellent AOE capabilities. These skills will help speed up the fights and increase your farming efficiency.
Farming Process: Follow these steps to farm efficiently and earn a significant amount of AP:
Location: The Free Cities of Kanver – Head to the dungeon location that can be farmed despite its intended design.
Fight Progression:
Start the stage and run through it, triggering the encounters along the way.
Engage in the first three fights ONLY, as the fourth fight is time-consuming with poor rewards.
After completing the third fight, leave the area. You’ll receive a notification that only story progress will be lost, while XP, AP, Gil & items will be retained.
Repeat the Process: Return to the City of Kanver and start from the beginning of the stage again. You can quickly progress by opening the map and teleporting to the nearest location to save time.
AP and EXP Rewards: By repeatedly farming the first three fights, you can earn over 30,000 AP per hour. However, the XP gains are not as significant, averaging around 50,000 XP per hour. Keep this in mind when planning your farming sessions.
Optimization Tips: To fully optimize your farming session, consider the following suggestions:
Mastering Abilities: Resetting and mastering abilities, such as Flames of Rebirth or Judgment Bolt, can cost a substantial amount of AP (e.g., 8,300 AP for Flames of Rebirth). Ensure you allocate enough AP to fully master essential abilities.
Fully Optimized Grinding: While I haven’t reached full optimization, you should aim to earn over 50,000 to 60,000 AP per session. The higher your AP earnings, the quicker you can unlock and master all abilities.
Additional Eikons: Keep in mind that you’ll still be missing two Eikons while farming. To ensure mastery of all abilities, focus on fully upgrading the abilities you currently have access to. Allocate around 15,000 to 20,000 AP per Eikon to be prepared for future unlocks.
Conclusion: By following this guide, you’ll have the most efficient method for earning AP and EXP in Final Fantasy 16. Utilize the recommended accessories, Eikons, and abilities, and farm the City of Canva to unlock and master all abilities quickly. Happy farming and enjoy your journey in Final Fantasy 16!
